An absolutely gorgeous evening at The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple on Friday 17th November 2023, attending Sikhs in Law’s wonderful Bandi Chhor (“Day of Liberation”) celebrations.
Bandi Chhor is a Sikh celebration commemorating the day that the 6th Guru of Sikhs, Guru Hargobind – and 52 Hindu Kings – were released from the imprisonment of Emperor Jahangir. At the event, we commemorated that day with prayers, music and the lighting of a Candle of Peace.
I was delighted to invite Rashpinder, one of my favourite instructing solicitors, to the event.
It was also wonderful to meet Lord Justice of the Court of Appeal, Sir Rabinder Singh, PC.
And wonderful to finally meet my current BME Legal mentee Sonya in real life!
Really lovely to also reconnect with my friend, and fellow Inner Temple member, Rabbi Eli Goldsobel, who attended in his capacity as a faith leader.
