Go Go Mighty Warriors!

The Beaumont's Mighty Warriors thrase their opposition!

Today I had the great pleasure of attending a kids’ football tournament arranged by the fantastic Leyton street wardens.

The Street Wardens arranged for children from estates all over the borough to get together for a kick about with other wardens and kids from outside Waltham Forest.

Seventeen teams of children aged between eight and twelve years old participated in the tournament, which was the culmination of football training that the wardens had put on for Leyton’s kids during their school holidays.

Although I backed all the teams (well, they all played really well!), what kind of Leyton councillor would I be if I didn’t reserve a litle soft spot for the Mighty Warriors Team (pictured below) from the Beaumont Estate?

The Beaumont Mighty Warriors: Aren't they cute?
Not only are they the cutest kids you’ve ever seen, they also play a mean game of football!!!

I continue to thank the street wardens for being real champions of Leyton’s young people and Leyton as a whole.

It is fantastic to have them in our community.
