Tonight, I attended the launch of Doreen Lawrence’s new book, ‘And Still I Rise’, at the Head Quarters of publishers Faber and Faber.
The book tells Doreen’s life story, including the events that led up to and following the brutal, racist death of Stephen, her eldest son.
Even though thirteen years have passed since Stephen’s murder, his killers still roam free – the greatest injustice I have known in my short lifetime.
Younger people may not know about Stephen’s story but it’s vital they do. It is great that Doreen has finally written this book.
