Mexican Jazz

Another glorious concert at St John’s Leytonstone on the evening of Friday 24th October, this time featuring exceptional musician Felipe Gordillo (below) playing a gorgeous repertoire of Mexican Jazz.

Halfway through the concert, Felipe wanted to explain to the audience the story behind some of the music being played to us.

I therefore tentatively offered to translate his Spanish into English to the audience, which he welcomed, and so I – very randomly – ended up participating in the concert!

Thank you so much again to brilliant local conductor and musician, Stephen Ellery (above), for organising yet another musical treat for the local community.
