Regular visitors to this website will remember that back in June I posted a story about ‘Church Mead’ school being relaunched as ‘Willow Brook’ school (click here to reread that story).
Ever since I posted that story, pupils old and new have been posting their comments about their experiences of Church Mead and their hopes for Willow Brook.
It’s been this website’s most popular story so far!!!
On Friday, local MP Harry Cohen and I attended the official launch of Willow Brook school, which was absolutely lovely.
Below, are some pics of the event.
Enjoy! 🙂

Willow Brook’s Choir Club welcomes guests with a soulful rendition of SIYAHAMBA
After a warm welcome from Theresa Busby, Willow Brook’s Head Teacher, guests were treated to a splendid fashion show of the school’s Spring, Summer and Winter Wear. These kids have it far too good these days. It was all puff ball skirts and leg warmers in my day 🙂
Modelling the latest from Willow Brook’s sports wear range…
Altogether now: “I can see clearly now the rain has gone…”

Willow Brook’s Drummers beat a mean rhythmn….

Thanks again to everyone at Willow Brook for inviting me along to share your special day.
